


Lechin from Granada olive tree, has a considerable cultivation area. Apart from Granada, this variety is also grown in Almeria, Albacete and Murcia. Extra-virgin oils with a sweet characteristic taste are obtained from it. The Lechín from Granada olive tree produces Extra Virgin Olive Oil of excellent quality. The Lechin olive is also used for the Black dressing, standing out for its high conservation capacity.
Characteristics of the Lechin Olive
The fruits are of medium weight, ovoid in shape and somewhat asymmetrical, the maximum transverse diameter is centered, the apex is rounded and without a nipple and the base is truncated. It has abundant and small lenticels. The endocarp is of medium weight, elliptical in shape, and slightly asymmetric. The maximum transverse diameter is displaced towards the apex, this being rounded and with mucron.
Lechin EVOO has a bitter and spicy taste, with a pleasant and consistent character. In addition, collected on time is an oil of very high stability.
Uses: The Lechin from Granada olive is a variety of double aptitude, used for oil and dressing production.
